Positive: The speed of check in, cleanliness of room, space in the room, and overall attention to detail in terms of I felt at home, I have a rule that if a hotel is or feels dirty or unkept, I don't take off my sandals. I was able to take off my sandals within this room within the first 20 seconds. Amazing place to go to the National Park nearby.
Negative: Door to the parking lot, from our room, was on the side, and you couldn't come back in that way unless you put a rock on the door to hold it. Otherwise, you had to enter the lobby to go all the way around. They should install room card reader at that back entrance for convenience of guests.
Summary: Great place to stay for the night for your plans in and near Montrose.

Negative: Called ahead and told we could check in early to get ready to go to a wedding. When we arrived 4 hours later ahand written sign said we had to pay ?20.oo tocheckin early. Should have been informed over the phone

Negative: Staff untrained, equipment, like room keys, not workin. Took over a half hour to get into the room and then left me unable to leave the room and it be secure. Never got fixed. Had to turn off the air conditioner because the thermostat didn't work so it just kept running. Not fun!

Positive: Good hot water, cable TV, ONE BED WAS COMFORTABLE. The coffee maker was acceptable.
Negative: There were ants in the bathroom, rollaway bed was extremely uncomfortable, room was dusty, when I put out used towels, fresh ones were not replaced (we take more than 1 shower),hot tub and pool were NOT handicapped accessible and breakfast was fair at best.
Summary: I know why the room was cheap.

Positive: Breakfast spread was good!
Negative: The pool was in a separate building and the side doors were locked, so you had to walk all the way around the front of the building to get back in. Hot tub was full of yucky water and non-operational.
